Kent Ray Foust

Kent Ray Foust, 61, of Bozeman passed away Sunday January 19, 2014. He died of complications associated with a lifelong disease of diabetes. He received a kidney from his brother Jan in 1993, a gift that gave him an additional 20 years of life. He was born June 11, 1952 in Bozeman to Jack W and Audelle (Schneider) Foust. Kent attended the Bozeman school system, graduating from high school in 1970. He attended Montana State University studying Chemical Engineering, and Fish and Wildlife until he went to work in the carpentry field. He worked for Clair Daines, and Cal Schweitzer until his retirement in 2005. Kent was a master craftsman and his handiwork is known throughout the Gallatin Valley. Kent had a love of hunting and fishing and left lasting memories with his many trips into the Gravelly Range and the many streams and lakes in the area. He was especially proud of being born and raised a Montanan. The only thing he was more proud of was his son Kyle who shares this love of the outdoors. He also was a sports enthusiast and loved playing softball for the Powder Horn team for many years, swam on the Bozeman swim team and was involved in intramural sports in high school. Kent married Lynn Bellingham in August of 1975. They had one son, Kyle Wayne, in 1981. He is survived by his parents, Jack(Bev) Foust of Bozeman, Audelle Estes of Bozeman, brother Jan(Karen) of Bozeman, sisters Glenna(Gary) Thon of Kalispell, Dale Lynn Nevin(Gary Perkins) of Laughlin, NV, son Kyle(Aly) of Bozeman and grandson Ben and many nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration of Kent's life will be planned for this summer. May he find peace in his afterlife. He so deserves the blessings of the Lord.
