Karma Nafiah Tupper

December 9, 2006 — October 22, 2022

Karma Nafiah Tupper, 15, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2022.

Karma had a wonderful sense of humor and knew how to make others smile. She was a strong advocate for equality. Even if she disagreed with someone, Karma would defend their rights.

During her short time on earth, Karma explored many hobbies. She loved to listen to music, paint, and cook with her family. She was a budding cosmetologist. She planned to live in a hippie van with her best friend and tour the world before making a name for herself as a hair stylist. Karma had many friends, including her peers and mentors at Big Sky Youth Empowerment. This organization gave her support, and a safe place to be herself.

Karma was preceded in death by her mother, Kristen Llamas. She is survived by her sister, Justice; her father, Jesse; her grandmothers, Delia and Stephanie; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family members and countless friends whose lives she touched.

In accordance with Karma’s wishes, she was released from this world by cremation on October 27, 2022. Karma will be missed every second. In lieu of flowers, Karma’s family asks that contributions in Karma's honor be sent to Big Sky Youth Empowerment, 225 East Mendenhall St., Bozeman, MT 59715; https://donate.byep.org/give/402699/#!/donation/checkout.

We also ask that each person that loves her or reads this perform an act of kindness in Karma's name.
