Judith Parnell

Judith Parnell, 71, of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away in Bozeman, Montana on September 20, 2010. Judy was born on August 15, 1939 in Logan, Ohio to Hubert and Bernice (Leadbetter) Casto. She graduated with a Masters of Nursing in Public Health from UNC #8211; Chapel Hill. She was very active in church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years. Judy sang in the Sanctuary Choir and directed the youth choir at church, and was a member of the Baptist Womens#8217; Circle. She was always studying to learn more as a nurse and spent her life as a natural caregiver. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother, and was always willing to help others. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Casto, her sister, Martha Barlow and her daughter, LuCinda Parnell Parks. Survivors include her daughter, Tamara Parnell of Bozeman, MT; grandchildren, Jessica Parks, Hayley Parks, and Katherine Parks; her mother, Bernice Casto of Gastonia; her brother James T. Voris of Flat Rock, NC; and her loving dog, Frodo. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Park Chapel in Gastonia.
