'Jr' Emil Hoell

January 5, 1932 — March 3, 2008

Emil F. #8220;Jr#8221; Hoell, 76, of Bozeman MT, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008 after his courages 4 year fight with many medical illnesses.. He was born January 5, 1932 at the family ranch up Bear Canyon. Jr was educated at the LaMotte School. After morning chores he and his sister walked to school no matter the weather, he was very proud that he only missed 3 days of school all the years that he attended. He also attended Holy Rosary Catholic High School. In his younger years he boxed at the Eagles Club. Jr spent his life as a rancher, working with his family in Bear Canyon and up Trail Creek. After his fathers passing in 1969 Jr. and his mom kept the ranch going, until he retired in 1990. He met the love of his life Linda Doney on May 20, 1979; they were married May 20, 1989. Jr was a gifted musician he played many instruments and sang. He played at family event as well as at Fort Ellis. He loved to hunt and fish, his friends and family remember him always catching the biggest fish. Jr was a storyteller entertaining family and friends with his tales. He was preceded in death by his parents. Emil John Hoell and Frances Elizabeth Planisheck Survivors include his wife Linda; children Carla (Tommy) Fowler of Manhattan, MT, Kenny Bowlan of Bozeman, MT, Michealine (David) Ohlson of Spanaway, WA, and Dawn (Keith) Pittman of Bozeman, MT; 9 grandchildren; his sister Ethel (Ben) Hanson of Bozeman MT; many nieces and nephews including Kenny Pasha, Steve Pasha and Cindy Wilson; and special friends Barb and Dave Parson, Tim and Rita McGaugh, Rod Phillips, Magen Lanius, and Cheryl Fillion. A special thanks from Jr.'s family goes out to Dr. Benda and the Bozeman Clinic and all the staff in the ICU at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Visitation 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel with interment following at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Remembrance Reception will be held at the Lindley Center immediately following the Graveside services. Memorials may be made in his name to: The Heart of the Valley Humane Society.
