Joy “Bud” Thompson Wright Jr. April 21, 1931 – September 24, 2018
Joy “Bud” Thompson Wright Jr., 87, of Bozeman passed away September 24, 2018. Bud was born to his father Joy Thompson Wright, mother Goldie Marie Atkins, April 21, 1931 in Eckerty Indiana. Bud went thru early education and did Radio Mechanic. Bud accomplished many educations. He was a Master Electrician and was an Electrical Inspector.
In 1947 Bud enlisted in the Army. He was stationed in Alaska and he left the military in 1952. Bud lived in Jasper, Indiana, Laurel, Montana and Dillion, Montana. Bud met his love of his life and married Marilyn Joann Smith on May 5, 1952 in Laurel, Montana.
Bud was involved in Masonic community activities. He had many hobbies and interests, including collecting barb wire, he loved roller skating and hunting. Bud will be most remembered for being a fun guy.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Marilyn Wright; his parents Joy Thompson and Goldie Marie Wright; his two brothers Robert and Bill Wright.
He is survived by his son David R. (Corinne) Wright of Bozeman, MT; daughter Linda J. (Rick) Hanks of Plains, MT; Son Michael D. (Patty) Wright of Salt Lake City, UT; sister Verla (Jim) Summers in Jasper, IN; Bud had 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
