Josephine wanted to explore new things and settled in Sidney, Montana where she would raise her children and work alongside her family again on a farm. On a vacation with family they stopped in Bozeman, Montana, she instantly fell in love with the mountains and everything the once little town had to offer. She then called Bozeman her home. Josephine worked for Gallatin Laundry and then took a job for MSU as a custodian. She would later retire from MSU to care for her mother.

Josephine always had a beautiful garden, she was well known for sharing her goodies. Grandkids and family would gather around just to taste the sweet zucchini bread, banana bread and pies.

Josephine enjoyed her time camping, fishing, sewing, raising children, dancing, cooking and most of all telling a good story to make everyone laugh.
