Josephine F. Hauck was born in Beulah, North Dakota on January 9th, 1929. She spent her childhood in Beulah graduating from Beulah High in 1947. On October 28, 1947 she married Leo Ziegler in Beulah. The family lived in Gladstone, ND, and later Columbus, MT, before settling in Bozeman. From 1966-96 Josephine worked at Mountain View Care Center as a CNA, and later the Activities Director.
Josephine was a member of Holy Rosary parish, the Forrester Order, the Red Hat Society (for which she was secretary), and the Good Sam RV club. Josephine loved bowling, card games (pinochle), and camping. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking. She loved her boys and her grandkids.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Leo, who passed away in 2008, son Duane M. Ziegler, and four of her brothers and sisters.
Surviving family members include two sons, Warren (Tamara) Ziegler in Helena, and Dean (Mary) Ziegler in Livingston. Josephine’s sister Kathleen (Bloyd) Breneman lives in International Falls, MN.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday April 28th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church followed by internment of her urn at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
