John 'Tom' Walker

John #8220;Tom#8221; Thomas Walker, 85, of Belgrade, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2011. He was born March 11, 1925 in Fountain Hill, PA. Tom served as a Marine in WWII in the Pacific Theatre; he is a Purple Heart recipient in addition to many other service medals. Tom enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, reading and building projects with his son. His greatest joy was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Mark Linenbroker of Mechanicsburg, PA; his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sandy Walker of Bozeman, MT; 2 granddaughters, Jaimie Walker of Brooklyn, NY and Julianna Linenbroker of Mechanicsburg, PA; 3 great-grandchildren Haley, Hunter and Elijah; his brother Boyd H. Walker of Florida and nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. Memorials may be made in Tom#8217;s name to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 11390, Bozeman, MT 59719.
