John "Randy" Litschauer

John “Randy” Litschauer passed away on the afternoon of September 3rd, 2018. He was born on May 16, 1959 to Charles “Jay” and Nadine (Cotton) Litschauer in Bozeman, Montana. Randy was a Bozeman native and was well known in the community. He attended the Bozeman schools.



He spent most of his time in Montana where he met and later married his wife Betty Litschauer in 2004.



Randy worked in and out of grocery stores as a meat cutter. He then later started operating a meat processing business out of his garage. In 2008 he moved his custom meat shop to its current location and proudly called it Flying Fur Custom Meats. There he provided a large part of the local hunting and farming community with high quality products, customer service, and friendly relationships as well.



His passions included going to Washington, Oregon and Idaho where he loved to fish with his wife and his only grandson for steelhead and trout. Randy shared a great passion for hunting with his grandson Brandt whom he had just put through hunter safety this year and was looking forward to taking him out for his first time. This year and every year after the first hunt of the season will be in Grandpa Randy's honor and memory.



He will be remembered by the quality of meats that he processed, the amazing brats that he produced and the love that he had for his wife and grandchildren. Randy's Passion and drive to provide for his family and community will forever be a void that cannot be filled but only remembered and celebrated.



Randy is preceded in death by his father Charles “Jay” Litschauer and his mother Nadine (Cotton) Litschauer. He is survived by his wife Betty Litschauer, his daughter Nicole Litschauer and her children Autum and Ivy of Oregon; his daughter Samantha (Cody) Bohrman and their children Sadie, Brandt, Evelynn and Addison of Belgrade; his sister Staci Litschauer of Helena and her daughter Teri Egan (Jeff Nicholson) of Bozeman and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.



There will be A Celebration of Life on September 29th, 2018 from 1-3 pm at the family home at 90 Charolais St Belgrade, Montana.
