John Henry Sizemore, 72, of Bozeman, MT passed away on July 23, 2023. Cremation has been entrusted to Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service.
John was born on November 18, 1950, in Manchester, KY to A.C and Savannah (Cottongim) Sizemore. Raised in Manchester, he went on to trucking school right out of high school and never looked back. He was a long-haul trucker for the next 30 years and it never really left him. He would still watch the trucks go by on the highway, drawing some comfort from it. Perhaps recalling the open road and his favorite tunes on the radio, early R&B like Percy Sledge, Sam Cooke, and the Temptations.
John married the love of his life, Deborah, on November 21, 1993, at his sister Pat’s home in Racine, WI. In fact, this November would have marked their 30th anniversary. Together they raised a family. He would say his greatest accomplishment was his children and grandchildren. He also loved being outside, fishing, camping, and hiking. So, the next time you catch a sunrise think of John watching it with you enjoying his coffee and cookies.
He will be missed by all but especially his wife, Deborah Sizemore; mother, Savannah Sizemore; son, David Cottongim; daughters, Angela White Sizemore, and Amanda Dickson Sizemore; sisters, Dorothy June, Donna Gail, Lisa, and Regina; grandchildren, Henry, Malea, Rosalyn, Alana, Mia, Brian, Anthony, Mya, Jack, and Ella; and many nieces and nephews.
He goes on to join his father, A.C Sizemore; brother and best friend, Harvey; sister, Patricia; son, John; and uncle, D.W.
