Jimmy Leroy Schlegel

Jimmy LeRoy Schlegel, 74, of Bozeman, MT, formerly of Scotts Bluff, NE, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012. He was born September 10, 1938 in Scotts Bluff, NE to John and Anna (Cassel) Schlegel. Jimmy was raised and educated in Scotts Bluff, following his graduation from high school; he served our county for 20 years in the US Navy as a Communication Specialist which continued on when he joined the Foreign Service. In 1961 he married Sharron Pember in Napa, California, together they raised their daughters Carol Aileen and Michelle, while living all over the planet with his career. After retiring Jim and Sharron moved to Arizona which gave him plenty of time to golf, Jimmy really enjoyed golfing! He also enjoyed traveling, rock hounding and reading. Jimmy will be remembered most for his contagious smile. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather Cliff Otto. Survivors include his wife Sharron; two daughters Carol (Robert) Bishop and Michelle Schlegel; two grandsons Joshua and Aaron Bishop; two brothers Johnny (Jeannie) Schlegel and Ronnie Schlegel; Sister Priscilla (David) Allen.
