Jeanie Chick died March 3, 2017 in Bozeman surrounded by her friends and family; she was 71 years old. She was born in Havre Montana to Lawrence and Katherine Hiller and grew up in Bozeman and Great Falls, where she graduated from Great Falls Central high school. She spent most of her adult life working for herself so that she could be actively involved in her two children’s lives. She later worked at MetraPark where she found a second family with some of her great friends. She loved working in her flower garden and making cookies for anyone that would eat them. Jeanie loved children and while she did not have her own grandchildren she adopted the Makeeff grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She loved family gatherings with her siblings and their families where she always made sure that everyone was taken care of. She showed her love in ways of service, like making sure that there was never a dirty dish left in the sink at the end of the night after those many events.
She is survived by her two children Amber (Aaron) Traxinger and Wyley Chick and her siblings Kathie Hiller, MaryLou Freese, Rita (Larry) Merkel, Juanita (Mike) McCreanor, Larry Hiller and my her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Mom, I will miss you. I am lucky that you picked me.
