Jason Sterling Funk’s long struggle with life ended on Saturday, December 15, 2012. He was born October 10, 1981 in Seattle, Washington to Lori Funk and Joe Ferry. If there really is a God, Jason is finally at peace because there is no way the demons that chased him through life would be let in. If you ever had the pleasure to meet Jason, you saw his Gram not too far away. Bonnie guided Jason through all the happiness he had in life. Jason’s kidneys failed him far too soon. He will be deeply missed. Shortly after birth Jason moved to Bozeman to live with his grandparents. He attended Bozeman schools and lived here his entire life. He was a huge sports fan, he especially loved basketball. He will be remembered as a walking encyclopedia of sports knowledge. He also enjoyed going for drives, camping and sightseeing. Jason was very compassionate, he would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. Jason is survived by: his mother Lori (Tracy) Crosbie of Bozeman; grandparents Bonnie and Bob Arts of Bozeman; father Joe Ferry of Colorado; brothers Jeff Crosbie of Bozeman and Eric Ferry of Colorado; grandfather Verne Funk of Bozeman; aunt and uncle Peggy Anne and Bruce Funk of Bozeman; cousin Britny Funk of Belgrade; and numerous other cousins. A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at a later date.
