Janet Weaver, 73, of Belgrade passed away on August 10, 2015, after fighting a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Janet was born on October 16, 1941 in Billings, Montana to Wayne and Avis Martin. She was raised in the Bozeman and Billings areas. She graduated from Billings Senior in 1960 and then went on to work at Billing’s Deaconess (Billing’s Clinic). She met the love of her life, Daniel Weaver, and later married him on May 24, 1963.
Janet and Dan moved back to Bozeman and raised a family. In addition, Janet worked at Bozeman Deaconess as a ward clerk for many years. After her children were grown up, she and Dan enjoyed traveling and camping.
Janet was actively involved with the American Legion Auxiliary and was state president in 2008. She had the opportunity to travel around the state and country with her Auxiliary friends, which she truly loved.
Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her cat Miss Peanut. The highlight of her year was the Weaver Family Thanksgiving gathering. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening where she had an amazing collection of frog figurines. She loved playing cards, reading, and doing puzzles. Every Christmas Janet would display an incredible Christmas village that she was so proud of and it took up most of her living room.
Janet will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed, loved, and forever in our memories.
Janet is survived by her husband, Dan of Belgrade; daughter Dana (Randall) Reeve of Dutton, MT; son Marty (Andrea) Weaver of Manhattan, MT; granddaughter Amanda (Brandon) Reeve Horoho of Grapevine, TX; granddaughter Amber Reeve of Billings, MT; grandson Aidan Reeve of Dutton, MT. Per family’s wishes please no flowers. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Bozeman Deaconess as they made her final days peaceful.
