Jamie R. French

February 14, 1963 — August 9, 2016

Jamie Lorraine (Robot) French, born February 14, 1963, passed away August 9th, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones in her own home. After a long fought battle of 27 years with multiple sclerosis, Jamie held on to her strength and courage longer than anyone could imagine. She was a funny, charismatic, loving, beautiful person that will be deeply missed.

Jamie was born in Miles City, Montana and shortly thereafter moved to Bozeman where she and her three brothers, mother and father lived for most of their lives. She attended Bozeman High School and graduated in the class of 1981. After school she attended a year of college at Montana State University but ultimately left college and began a career as a house painter. She always had stories to tell about her work and had a great love for it. During this time, she met her husband, Brad French, at a close friend’s house and was married 4 years later. Together they were in a dart league where Jamie became quite a dart thrower. She has trophies for hitting ton 80 as well as three double bulls. They also enjoyed

snowmobiling and taking motorcycle trips together. Later on, they had their two daughters Ali and Lisa, and started their lives together with Brad running his own business as a carpenter a few years later and Jamie eventually staying home with the girls once she could no longer work. Unfortunately, not long after having her first child, she was diagnosed with MS. However, this did not stop her from living her life. She and the family went on summer vacations, camping trips, daily outings, school events, and many more occasions.

In the more recent years, the MS limited her mobility but she still made it out to family get-togethers, friend’s parties, and other events.

She always enjoyed going to The Ridge, the Sweet Pea parade and festival each year, and having a morning coffee on the porch in the sun. She was always with family and had an eventful life no matter the obstacles thrown her way. She’ll be remembered for her great sense of humor, joy, love, and never ending smiles and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her father J.C. “Bud” Robot. She is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years Brad French; her loving daughters Ali and Lisa French; her mother Sidney Price Robot and mother-in-law Celia French Wood; brothers Rick (Debbie) Robot, Brett (Melissa) Robot, and Craig (Lorena) Robot; as well as nephews Justin, Chris, Vladi, Jack, Cayden, and Gavin. Also her nieces Chloe and Rhyanne.

A special thanks goes out to Johanna and Melissa with First Choice, Greg and Galavan for providing transportation, The Ridge for their constant company and support, Rocky Mountain Hospice, and all the family and friends that took the time to come and spend time with Jamie and help as much as they could.

Memorials may be made in her name to the MS Society at 3203 3rd Ave N #203 Billings, MT 59101 and Galavan at 812 N Rouse Ave. Bozeman, MT 59715.
