James Warren Metcalf

d. November 5, 2024

White Sulphur Springs

James (Jim) Metcalf joined his mother, Bette Metcalf and his brother, Michael, as well as many beloved pets in Heaven on November 5, 2024, after a long battle with Cancer.

Jim was born on August 30, 1960, in Bozeman, MT. After high school he pursued a career as a master meat cutter where he had jobs in Wyoming and Billings. Jim was also an incredibly talented Mason and left his love of rock work on the properties that he built or remodeled in Billings, Three Forks and White Sulphur Springs.

There wasn’t a challenge that Jim wouldn’t accept, or a dirt bike ride that he would pass on. When riding motorcycles, you knew you were in for it when he spun his hat backwards – the race was ON!! His generosity to those closest to him and who had accepted him unconditionally was unmeasured. We all miss you!

Jim contributed to the community of White Sulphur Springs, whether it was plowing driveways, mowing lawns or general handyman work. He took pride in his work, especially his rock wall, garden and lawns.

Jim is survived by his son, James Metcalf, Jr. (Las Vegas, NV), his partner of 12 years, Brandi Fisher and his beloved Laura Kakuk, who both reside in White Sulphur Springs and were with him at home when he took his last breath. He is also survived by his father Perry Metcalf (Green Valley, AZ), sister Cindy Gee along with his niece Mandie Ehrenberger, nephews Michael Gee and Derek Sweeney all of Belgrade, MT.

At Jim’s request we will have one heck of party at a later date but in the near future there will be a Coffee Hour for him at the Senior Center in White Sulphur Springs, MT, date and time to be announced.
