Henry Gerald Potter, 82, of Bozeman passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at his home. Henry was born on November 21, 1927 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Stanley and Sophie (Kalinowski) Potrzebka. He graduated from high school in Detroit, Michigan and two months later, he was drafted into the Army where he served during World War II. After his discharge from the Army, he attended Michigan State University School of Journalism. He then studied accounting at the University of Detroit before graduating from Michigan State with a degree in Journalism. He worked in Detroit as a night auditor for the Statler Hotel for three years. He then moved to California, where he worked as a cost accountant. In 1987, he retired and moved to Montana. Henry thoroughly enjoyed reading. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Sophie Potter, Al Potters, Jenny Marshall, Helen Bender, and Chester Potters. Survivors include his sister, Ann Baker of Richmond, MI, brother, Stanley Potrzebka of Sun City West, AZ, and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be said at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. A Vigil service will follow at 7:00 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Holy Rosary Church with interment and military honors to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
