Helen Mary Mell

Helen Mell passed away of natural causes May 20, 2018.



Helen was born January 26, 1924 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Donald and Mamie (Renier) Booth. She attended school in Jamestown, graduated from Jamestown High School in 1942 and married Gerald (Jerry) Mell August 2, 1947 in Jamestown. Jerry’s career as a pharmacist took them to Fargo and Ellendale, North Dakota and Livingston, Shelby and Bozeman, Montana. From 1960 to present Helen made Bozeman her home. Helen was an active member of Holy Rosary Parish, Foresters Society, many years of service with local elections, Girl Scouts, Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Red Cross, loved playing bridge with her close circle of friends and dedicated her life to her family.



Helen is preceded in death by her husband Jerry who passed away January 3, 1997 and sisters Donna Flink and Jean Dorshorst of Missoula and Lavon Milne of Denver.



Helen is survived by three children Dave (Linda) of Bozeman; Don (Rita) of Seattle, Washington and Bev of Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren Kevin and Scott and three great grandchildren.



A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Thursday, May 24th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bozeman.
