Helen E. Knight died at home on May 27, 2010 of complications due to Alzheimers. Helen was born June 13, 1915 in Livingston, Montana. Helen (Perrine) married Robert (Buck) Knight on June 28, 1936 in Livingston and resided there until they moved to the Gallatin Canyon and cleared sage brush and hauled logs to build #8220;Buck#8217;s T-4#8221; bar, restaurant and guide service. They also added cabins to accommodate the hunters. They sold Buck#8217;s T-4 in 1972 and retired up on the hill behind Buck#8217;s and did some traveling and then spending winters in Arizona. Helen and Buck started a foundation called #8220;The Knight Foundation#8221; which donated to many charities in the Gallatin Valley and other organizations, and will continue to do so. Buck and Helen moved to Bozeman in 1995 where they divided their residence between Yuma, Arizona for the winters and Bozeman for the summers. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Buck) in 1998, a son at birth, and 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Helen is survived by: her 3 nieces, Geraldine Wheaton and Dorothy Dunn of Seattle, Washington and Joan Gagner of Prosser, Washington; and 2 nephews, Don Carlos Perrine of Bellingham, Washington and Jim Perrine of Kent, Washington. Helen#8217;s door was always open and she will be missed by many. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
