Grady Dawkins

James Grady Dawkins was born in Vero Beach, Florida to Heather and Demetrus Dawkins. Grady attended Community Church Pre-School in Vero Beach before moving to Sidney, Ohio at the age of five. Grady’s young years were spent playing sports, which became his passion. Grady excelled in all sports; football, basketball, baseball, and was a State Champion wrestler. He attended Sidney Middle School in Sidney, Ohio. In 2011, Grady moved to Bozeman, Montana and continued his love of sports at Sacajawea Middle School playing football as a wide receiver and cornerback, and basketball as a point guard. A freshman at Bozeman High School this year, he played football and basketball for the Hawks. Grady loved the Florida Gators, Miami Heat and NBA player Chris Paul. Grady will be remembered for his infectious smile, love of friends and family, and being a caring young man. Grady is survived by his father Demetrus Dawkins and step-mother Britney Dawkins of Vero Beach Florida; Brother Bryce Dawkins and sisters Ryann and Jacelen Dawkins, all of Bozeman, Montana; Grandparents JC and Sharon Ferguson of Vero Beach, Florida; Grandfather Henry Dawkins, Sr. of Wabasso, Florida and Grandmother Verdell Dawkins, pre-deceased; Aunts and Uncles Diane (Roy) Johnson, Kimberly Dawkins, both of Sebastian, Florida, Tracy (Dennis) Culmer of Eleuthra Bahamas, Henry (Barbara) Dawkins, Jr., Terry (Cietrus) Dawkins, David Dawkins of Sebastian and Wabasso, Florida; Andy Ferguson, Beth Ferguson, Lori (Dale) Dawkins, all of Bozeman, Montana, and Jeff (Margarita) Ferguson of Vero Beach, Florida; Cousins Drew and Tyler Ferguson, Alexa, Kassady, Blake, Jadyn, and Giana Dawkins, all of Bozeman, Montana; plus numerous other beloved cousins in Florida. A celebration memorial service will be held for Grady and his mother, Heather, at Journey Church on Saturday, March 22nd at 11am.
