Geraldine Ward

Geraldine Ward, 90, of Bozeman passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at her home, with her twin by her side. Geraldine was born on October 8, 1918 in Clarksdale, Illinois to Patrick and Anna Ward. She attended St. John#8217;s Nursing School in Springfield, IL, graduating in 1938. Following graduation, she worked as an Occupational Nurse in Chicago and a Geriatric Nurse at the Le Cumbre Convalescent Center and Casa Dorinda Medical Center in Santa Barbara, California until her retirement in 1988, at the age of 70. She and her twin lived in Chicago, Illinois and in 1971, moved to Santa Barbara, California, and then to Bozeman, Montana in 1998 to be near their niece and nephew and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and sister-in-law, Maurice Patrick and Mary Alice Ward. Survivors include her twin sister, Bernardine Ward of Bozeman; nieces, Patrice (Daren) Carter of Houston, TX, and Karen (Gregory) Wojtanowicz of Bozeman; and nephew Kevin (Rebecca) Ward of Bozeman.
