George Dehner

February 20, 1936 — March 21, 2008

George Albert Dehner, 72, of Bozeman, passed away at the home of his son and daughter-in-law (Don and Kathy) on March 21, 2008. He was born February 20, 1936 in Poplar, Montana to John and Grace (Turner) Dehner. He graduated from high school in Poplar. He married Jane Olson in 1957, the couple later divorced. He moved to Billings in the early 1960#8217;s and then to Bozeman where he lived for the rest of his life. He was a diesel mechanic, working for H.F. Johnson and Montana Readi-Mix. George served in the Army Reserve and the Montana National Guard from April 1954 to April of 1962. George enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling (on ski-doo#8217;s only!), camping and fishing. North Meadow Creek was his favorite place. As years went on he switched to four wheeling. He also enjoyed his woodworking, making tables, chairs, a rocking horse and a doll cradle. He was preceded in death by his sister Lois and his brother Leon. He is survived by his sister, Marie Dehner of Tampa, Florida; children, Donald (Kathy) Dehner of Bozeman, Montana and Sharon (Dale) Weber of Billings, Montana; grandchildren, Adam Dehner, Ashley (Troy) Butler, and Matthew Weber; and great grandchild, Ayla. A celebration of life will be held 3:00 Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dahlcares.com
