Frieda Rebecca 'Becky' Slavish, 92, of Ennis, passed away on April 24, 2014. She was born on September 10, 1921 in Bridger, Montana to Henry and Sophie (Hergett) Meinhardt. Becky grew up on a farm outside of Bridger and graduated from Bridger High School. After High School she worked at the Bridger Creamery. On July 7, 1942 she married John Slavish in Bridger. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio where their only child, Shirley, was born. After two years in Cleveland they moved back to the farm at Bridger. They owned several restaurants and bars in the Bridger and Belfry area. In 1960 they moved to Red Lodge where they worked for two years. They then moved to Billings where Becky worked in bookkeeping and sales at Mountain View Restaurant Supply and as a hostess in the dining room at Yellowstone Country Club after which she retired. Everything she did was done with pride which showed in her cooking, baking, canning, preserving, gardening and crocheting. While in Billings they were members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; John, Carl, Arnold, and Elizabeth. She is survived by her daughter; Shirley (Martin) Badura, her grandchildren; Tom, Kevin, Steven, Brent and Susan, her great-grandchildren; Chloe and Andrew, and her brother; William (Columbia) Meinhardt. A Funeral Service will be at 1PM on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Billings, Montana followed by interment in the Bridger Cemetery in Bridger, Montana.
