Frank Richard Schimetz passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born April 13, 1946 in Rolla, North Dakota to John and Ida (Richard) Schimetz. Frank grew up in the Gallatin Valley and attended Belgrade Schools. Frank entered the United States Army in October of 1965 and served our country until September of 1968. He was a hard working, self-employed Mechanic of all trades throughout his life while living in Washington and Montana. He married Leah Miller in St. Anthony, ID on February 7, 1976. Frank enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will also miss spending time with his “Coffee Cronies” at the Korner Kafe in Four Corners. Frank was preceded in death by: his parents; son John; father-in-law Jim Miller; sister Tess; and brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Leah of Belgrade; mother-in-law Virginia Miller of Bozeman; children Jody (Toby) Kuck of Belgrade and Janelle Krob of Belgrade; grandchildren Kristopher, Kyler, Kassidee, and Kaleb Kuck and Hayley, Paige and Emma Krob; siblings Shirley Seavey of Belgrade, Pat Postma of Kevin, MT, Ray (Sheri) Schimetz of Phoenix, AZ, David (Brenda) Schimetz of Poulsbo, WA, Helen (Rawley) Harrison of Spokane, WA, Sharon (Dale) Seavey of Spokane, WA and Jon (Dan) Chesley of Belgrade; brothers and sisters-in-law Sam (Janie) Miller of Whitehall, Jim Miller of Whitehall, Carol Armold of Belgrade, Marlene (Chuck) Hagen of Congress, AZ and Clayton Wagner of Belgrade; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made in Frank’s name to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 301 Edelweiss Dr., Suites 5 &6, Bozeman, MT 59718 or Connect Church, P.O. Box 11386, Bozeman, MT 59719. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 17 at Connect Church in Four Corners with a reception to follow.
