Floyd Yant, 79, of Bozeman, passed away June 18, 2019. He was born to Erma Irene (Kumpula) Yant and Alsace George Yant on February 7, 1940 in Deadwood, SD where he lived until kindergarten. He was in Trojan, SD for 1st grade, Butte, MT 2nd through 5th grade and lived in several mining towns in Idaho and Montana.
Floyd married Marjorie Ocamb and had three sons; Albert George Yant of Carson, NV, Todd Arnold Yant of Manhattan, MT, and Floyd Robert Yant, Jr. of Churchill, MT.
Floyd married Karen Shepherd in October 1988 at Lake Tahoe. Floyd joined Karen and her two children; Stacy Ann Lindsley and her children Karenera LaShandra Gibson, Karrigan Mona Lisa Long, Kaden Pat Heally and Violet Noel Fisher; and Steven Allen Lindsley and his children Colter James Lindsley, Kylee Jean Lindsley and Quinn Jacqueline Lindsley. Together they had 17 grandkids and 4 great grandkids.
They owned Quality Used Cars and lived in Bozeman most of their married life. They traveled around the Northwest and Southwest states doing VA loans, and Floyd worked at numerous car lots throughout the Bozeman area. He enjoyed fishing, camping, antiquing and gardening.

A Potluck Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Bozeman Pond Pavilion (behind the mall).
