Like every inch of yarn in the afghans she wove for us, we passed through her hands with love and intention. With grace and love she wove her stories and laughter into the fabric of our lives. Through the stories she loved to tell, she guided us to value education, independence, and above all, family. She lived a life like any other, filled with joys and hardships, but through it all, she maintained her curiosity, her convictions, and her ready laugh. And oh, to make her laugh, was to accomplish something beautiful. She loved and sought beauty everywhere she went, she grew flowers even in a drought. Her strength and generosity created an unwavering foundation for her children and grandchildren to carry forward. She loved to dance, eat “good” tomatoes, to hold babies, to laugh, to love, to live. As she was so loved, she will be so missed.
Special thanks to Pastor Sam Bennett and Compassus Hospice Care nurses Matt, Judi, Leslie and Brownie.
