Ernest Smith

Ernest (Ernie) D. Smith passed away April 10, 2012 at Gallatin Rest Home in Bozeman. He was born July 29, 1917 in Colony, OK to David and Pearl Smith. Ernest was a sharecropper, ordained minister and retired as an analyst/chemist from Climax Molybdenum in Colorado. He moved to Bozeman in 1982 from Salida, CO. He loved hunting and was an avid gunsmith. Ernest was preceded in death by his daughter Virginia Carol, his wife Esther Datherine, and his grandson David Allen. He is survived by: his two sons Ronald David (Anita) of Rigby, ID and Donald Calvin (Kathy) of Bozeman; his sister Lavell Thomas of California; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
