Elizabeth 'Lola' Waters Dixon, 92, of Vancouver, WA, passed away on Aug. 12, 2012. She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Billings, MT. That same year she was adopted by Henry and Emma Becker of Manhattan, MT, where she was raised and educated in the local school system. Lola married Cecil A. Waters on Dec. 6, 1937. They remained in Manhattan for the next 20 years, except for three years spent in the Dillon, MT area. Cecil Waters passed away in 1957 and Lola then moved to Seattle, WA in 1961. She was employed by the Seattle Chamber of Commerce and later was the manager for the Bell and Howell, Inc. office. Lola married Donald P. Dixon on Oct. 7, 1967. They were members of Christ the King Catholic Church and later moved to Everett, WA in 1986 after both were retired. They were members of St. Mary Magdalene Church. Lola is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Blumer of Everett, WA; son, Michael A. Waters (wife Viola) of Wickenburg, AZ; daughter, Brigid Grinnell (husband Ron) of Vancouver, WA; step-son, Kimball L. Dixon, of Australia; step-daughter, Sylvia Vincent (husband Duane) of Vancouver, WA; step-son, Guy Dixon (wife Sue) of Seattle, WA; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Lola was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Waters in 1957 and Donald Dixon on Dec. 25, 2006; and her son, Patrick H. Waters in October 1971. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 17010 NE 9th St., Vancouver, WA, Thurs., Aug. 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.. Interment and a graveside service will be held on Sat., Sept. 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., Sunset Hills Cemetery, (Catholic Section) in Bozeman, MT. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Vincent DePaul, Catholic Charities or Hospice at nearest locations.
