Elizabeth Ethel Miller

April 15, 1927 — February 7, 2013

Elizabeth “Betty” E. (Reilly) Miller, 85, of Bozeman, MT, formerly of Longmont, Co, passed away February 7, 2013. She was born April 15, 1927 in the mining district of Georgetown and Empire, CO, to William and Rose (Hildebrand) Reilly. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Denver, CO. She married John “Jack” Thomas Miller, (a disabled veteran) on February 26, 1949 in Denver, CO. Elizabeth spent her adult life caring for her children, her husband and her grandchildren. During her life she lived in Denver, Delta, Lyons and Longmont, Colorado. She moved to Bozeman in 2001. Elizabeth’s faith was important to her and she was devout in her Catholic faith. She was a Eucharistic Minister and a Secular Franciscan. When she wasn’t caring for her family, she enjoyed reading, traveling, and gardening. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking her family’s favorite meals. Elizabeth had a marvelous sense of humor. Elizabeth loved music, the mountains and all things Irish, her greatest passion being her family. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband John T. Miller in 1993 and 7 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her three children Kevin (Mary) of Longmont, CO, Denise (Tim) McCord of Bozeman, MT and Maureen (Steve) Dannen of Sacramento, CA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a sister Rosemary Kissell of Denver, CO. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (323 Collyer St.) in Longmont, CO, followed by interment of her urn next to her husband John at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to: Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301, Attn: Gift Processing.
