Edward W Mundell, 80, passed away on March 11, 2009 in Livingston, Montana. Ed was born on December 30, 1928 in Puyallup, Washington to James and Blanch Mundell. He met Edith Campbell in Montana, and the two were married on October 6, 1978 in Livingston. He worked for the railroad for many years before his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He and Edie would pick remote lakes and find their way to them to fish. He spent many years guiding and relishing the companionship of the hunting camps. Ed liked a good game of cards and the travel to various places, which it took them. A special time was spent with a small circle of friends who laughingly called themselves #8220;The Goof Troop#8221;, made up of core friends Bonnie, Bill, Lessie, Lee, Jessica, Edie, and Mariah. Ed was a compassionate man with a great deal of pride in all of his family. He accepted the ups and downs of life with grace and an enthusiasm for life. He was extremely proud of his granddaughter, Timbre, and saw to it that she got her scooter one way or another. Ed was a talker, hence the nickname #8220;Windy#8221;. He never met a stranger. He was a wonderful husband, family man, and friend. He is loved and missed by many. He was a busy man, a gourmet cook, and a maker of martinis. When his life light left, the world was made a darker place. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Edith, of Clyde Park; step-children, Stephen Barnes and Timothy (Terri) Barnes, both of Clyde Park; adopted children, Lee and Jessica Hillman of Livingston; grandchildren, Jeffery Barnes, Austin Fink, both of Livingston, and Timbre Barnes, of Clyde Park; one brother, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
