Eamonn Padraic Torgison

July 13, 1985 — April 27, 2024

Belgrade

Eamonn Padraic Torgison, age 38, passed away on April 27, 2024, in a car accident.  Eamonn grew up in a loving home in Polson, Montana where he excelled in sports including baseball, track and field, wrestling, and football.   After high school, Eamonn continued his athletic career at Dickenson State University and University of Idaho.   Eamonn was a proud Montana native.   He enjoyed taking advantage of the outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, hunting, shed hunting and golf.  He was a talented musician and was often found with an instrument in his hands.  He loved to play with his father, bringing joy through music to his family.   His mother will miss his hugs which were never hurried and always expressed deep love through the embrace.   Eamonn worked for several construction firms in Missoula and Belgrade, Poteet, Knife River, Civil, Grade A Civil, and Williams.  He loved the work and the friends he made along the way.  Eamonn shined bright, his crooked smile never failed to make others smile, and his enthusiasm for life lit passion in others.

His children, Sophia and Liam, were the light of his life.  He was so proud of them and enjoyed attending their sporting events, snuggling in the chair, and playing games, winning by any means he could think of.

Eamonn loved his friends and family deeply.  He had a way of making everyone around him feel special.   If someone he loved needed him, he was always there in whatever way he could be.  He was a gentle soul who always had time for the children in his life.  Eamonn is survived by his children, Sophia and Liam Torgison, whose time with him was filled with love and joy; parents, Paul and Colleen Torgison who raised him with unconditional love; older brother, Adam Torgison, younger sister, Keely (Shane) Heidel, younger brother, Logan Torgison whose memories, adventures, and joyful times will hold a special place in their hearts.  His nephews, Everett and Torin Heidel, his nieces, Ava Torgison, Fallon Heidel and Emerance Torgison; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and the mother of his children.

Eamonn was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Jacqueline Knuth and Mary and Loren Torgison, his uncle John Torgison, and his aunt Sandy Knuth.

His departure comes as a great shock and is being felt deeply by his family and friends.  The family appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make your contributions to his children’s memorial fund in lieu of flowers and that you share fond memories of him with others so that he may remain a light in the hearts of those he loved.
