Dorothy Rose Johnson, 84, of Emigrant, Montana passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was born August 19, 1927 in Meridian, Mississippi to Ernie and Mary (Smith) Westbrook. Dorothy received an Advanced Nursing degree from Pensacola Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida. She worked as a Registered Nurse in many cities throughout her life. She lived in: Pensacola, Florida; St. Petersburg, Florida; Kingsville, Texas; Virginia; Navato, California; and Emigrant, Montana. Dorothy married Richard Johnson in February of 2006. Her first husband was in the military and died during the Vietnam War. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, and flowers. She volunteered at her church and will be remembered for her sense of humor and caring and compassionate heart. Dorothy was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband; sister Rosemary; and brothers Bill and Jack Westbrook and niece Jennifer Jenks. Dorothy is survived by: her husband Richard Johnson of Emigrant; her daughters Sandra (Duane) Gray of Sacramento, CA, Barbara (Jay) Yost of Pasadena, CA, and Joanne (James) Timmer of Bozeman, MT; son Chip Whitehead and Loretta Faires of Petaluma, CA; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. The memorial will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 19th at the Church Universal and Triumphant chapel at Corwin Springs, Mt. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlcares.com
