Donna Stroh Kostelecky, 71 of Bozeman, Montana, passed away at home on January 27, 2016. She was born on December 10, 1944 in Dickinson, North Dakota, one of thirteen children born to William Joseph and Elizabeth (Heiser) Stroh.
Donna attended the Country School in Killdeer, North Dakota and graduated from Dickinson High School. She went on to attend Montana State University. She married Don Kostelecky on November 10, 1961 in Dickinson. She began a long career as a Realtor in 1983 working for Red Carpet Land West, Cook Bell, Century 21 and Bozeman Broker Group as a broker and partner. Donna worked tirelessly in serving families in the role of Broker and Realtor. She strove for professional excellence and had contributed so much time and energy in the Montana State Association of REALTORS, serving on many committees, and serving in many leadership roles during her career. She has also been recognized many times by the association for her excellence in her profession.
Donna will be remembered for her personal strength, honesty and the importance to her of her family. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, entertaining, gardening, playing cards and dancing. She especially loved her time with family and friends at the families Hauser Lake Home. Throughout the years she was a member of and active in many groups including; Bank of Bozeman Board of Directors, Gallatin Association of Realtors, Montana Association of Realtors, Director National Association of Realtors, Southwest Home Builders Association, Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, Gallatin County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors, Big Brother and Sisters, Montana State University Rodeo Team, Gallatin Republican Women's Association, the Museum of the Rockies, Habitat for Humanity, the Sweat Pea Festival and the Bozeman Elk's Lodge. She was selected as Realtor of the Year in 2000 and 2010.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her brother; David Stroh, and sister; Roxann Horacek. She is survived by her husband; Don, children; Todd (Elizabeth) Kostelecky, of Great Falls, VA, Terry Kostelecky of Bozeman, Camille Kostelecky of Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii, and Kimberly Kostelecky, of Bozeman, grandchildren; Cade Lohss, Chloe Lohss, Seth Kostelecky, and Grace Kostelecky, one great-grandson; Jeddy, sister -in-law; Dee Stroh of Dickinson, siblings; Bill (Delores) Stroh of Phoenix, AZ, Chuck (Renae) Stroh of Yuma AZ, Janice (Lyle) Kelling of Dickinson, ND, Tim (Sandy) Stroh, of Dickinson, ND, Rocky (Kathy) Stroh of Willton, CA, Pat (Barb) Stroh of Franklin, TN, Toby (Peggy) Stroh of Dickinson, ND, Myron Stroh of Missoula, MT, Zonia (Mark) Schuman of Wilton, CA, and Pam (Jim) Steckler of Dickinson, ND.
