Don L. Marquiss, 90, of Bozeman, passed away Wednesday, September 9. Don was born on November 26, 1924 and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, where he grew up the youngest child of three children. He married his beautiful bride, Bonnie, on June 13th. Don and Bonnie raised and cherished their six remarkable children. Duke, Teresa, Bob, Donelle, Rocky and David were all proud to call them mom and dad.
Don made his living as a full time rancher in his hometown of Gillette. When he retired in 1990, he found a new passion in sculpting. He had quite the amazing collection of bronzes that he created himself!
In his spare time, Don was very musical. He has played the trombone, guitar, mandolin, and the fiddle. If he wasn’t playing an instrument, Don enjoyed tapping his toes to Bluegrass music. You can find Don enjoying a book by Louis L’Amour or rooting on his favorite football team, the Denver Broncos!
Services will be held in Gillette, Wyoming at a later date.
