Dohris Marx, 88, life long resident of Bozeman, passed away November 30, 2008 at Gallatin Rest Home. She was born January 25, 1920 in Bozeman, the daughter to William Clarence and Mabel Polly (Jones) Ford. Dohris graduated from Gallatin High School and married Jake Marx in 1938. They had two children, Karen and Bill. Dohris was a very special lady and she will be missed by her immediate family and her extended family of friends including the much loved and appreciated staff at Gallatin Rest Home. She attended Grand Avenue Christian Church. Dohris was a member of the Country Home Extension Homemakers Club, worked for many years as a Gallatin County Elections Judge, sang at a radio station in Butte, and enjoyed being a member of the Valley Center Square Dancers Club. Dohris also enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, watching game shows, playing cards, and playing with her grand and great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Jake, brothers Glen, Gordon and Wayne, and sister in law Loretta. Survivors include daughter Karen Bright, Minneapolis; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Carolyn Marx of Bozeman; and sister, Nina Severin of Bozeman., and sisters-in-law, Orolee Ford and Louise Ford, numerous nieces and nephews. Grandchildren are Jason Bright of Minneapolis, Heather (Brian) Kahlbaugh of Duluth, Loren (Kerri), Jeff (Monica), and Daryl (Amanda) of Bozeman. Six Great Grandchildren, Lori, Jeana, Delaney, Mackenzy, Joshua , Jacob and another baby due in May. A visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec 2, from 5 to 8 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, Dec 3, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Dec 3, 2008 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made in her name to the Gallatin Rest Home Auxiliary, 1221 W. Durston, Bozeman, MT, 59715.
