Dena Rae Schlaht, 68, of Bozeman, passed away on June 27th, 2024, at Birchwood at Hillcrest. She battled lung cancer, then she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (bone cancer). She fought a long and hard battle.
Dena was born on November 24th, 1955, in Miles City, MT to Earl (Bobbie) Schlaht and Norma (Roy) Williams.
At a young age, the family moved to Billings from Jamestown, ND. Dena also lived in Anchorage, AK and Casper, WY where she graduated from Casper High School.
Dena worked for the School District in Bozeman until she retired.
Dena and Connie enjoyed 38 years together; they enjoyed a lot of activities. They would drive the back roads in Montana. Dena’s favorite saying, “I wonder where this road goes”, and off she went learning different areas.
Dena enjoyed camping and fishing with Connie and their dogs, Zeus and Sam. They visited a lot with family; family was very important to her. Dena also enjoyed visiting with friends and panning for gold.
Dena is preceded in death by her parents, Dad Earl and Bobbie Schlaht, Mom Norma and Roy Williams; Sisters, Janet Clark, Vivian Seifert; Brother, Ken Schlaht; Nephew, Douglas “Doug” Seifert. Dena is survived by Connie Olson; Brother, Larry Schlaht; Brother in law, Duane Clark; Aunt, Pat Vandersloot; and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Dena, you will be missed by all, WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!
