Daniel Still, 54, of Bozeman, passed away due to a car accident Saturday, March 15, 2008. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 5, 1953 to Guy and Donna (Smith) Still. Daniel grew up in Minnesota, where he graduated from Edison High School. After graduation, he went to work for a steel company in Minneapolis. He married Barbara Butler in 1972 at the Unity Church in Minneapolis. The couple lived there until they moved to Florida where their daughter Margaret was born. At that point, the family returned to Minneapolis, there they had two more children Guy and Mary. Two and a half years ago, the family moved to Bozeman because of Daniel#8217;s employment with Midwest Industries. Daniel loved to fish with his family, and especially enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren to fish. He was very involved with the Lion#8217;s Club, and he was also a baseball coach. He was involved in police reserves, and was a member of the Minneapolis Police Band, where he played the trombone. He also had organized the community Showboat Days parade. He was an active member of Unity Church, where he was the President of Youth of Unity and a past President of the church. He was a wonderful guide and example to family and friends. Daniel was always busy, but he stayed happy and always had a smile. He was caring and compassionate to all who knew him. Daniel loved football, especially the Vikings and the Bobcats. Daniel was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Barb; and his grandson, Wesley. Survivors include his children, Margaret Still of Tucson, AZ; Guy Daniel Still of Minneapolis; and Mary (Still) Braziel of Minneapolis; his mother Donna Still of Zephyrhills, Florida; granddaughter Barbie Still of Bozeman; brothers Craig Cant, James Cant, both of Zephyrhills, FL, and Jeff Still of Pocahontas, IA; sister Jane Scharn of Sac City, IA; Grandmother Mable Still of Pocahontas, IA; and Betty Werkmeister of Pocahontas, IA. A celebration of the lives of Dan, Barb and Wesley will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel at 4:00 pm, Friday, March 21, 2008 In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Still Family Benefit Fund, 208 E.
