In loving memory of Dr. Carol Thompson Hemingway, born in Kansas City, KS, on July 29th, 1930. Carol passed away on November 29th, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Carol, having received a MFA at Yale Drama School and a Doctorate in Dramatic Theater from Carnegie Mellon, began her career in theater as the Head of the Department of Directing and Playwriting at City College in New York City. She would go on to write, produce, and direct many plays across the country.
In 1982, Carol married Patrick Hemingway in West Yellowstone, Montana, and the couple began their lives together hunting, fishing, and adventuring throughout the world. Carol would later be inspired to author a children's book about the ospreys that lived near their home on the Missouri River.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Col. Millard Thompson and Dorothy Graves of Overland Park, KS.
Her memory is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Patrick; her daughter, Edwina; her grandsons, Patrick, Stephen, Andrew, and Robert; her great-grandchildren, Liam, Sawyer, Jackson, Truett, Ping-Ping, Archer, and Holden; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
