Brian Keith Ligtenberg

On the evening of Saturday, October 19th, 2024, Brian Keith Ligtenberg, 63, of Belgrade, left this earthly life and entered into eternal glory. He was born on January 9th, 1961, to Lloyd and Patricia Ligtenberg. Brian attended schools in Gallatin County and at the age of 9 he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

He married Julie Border on September 11th, 1982. They made their homes in Bozeman and Belgrade. Brian worked various jobs around the valley including carpet installation and working at a local lumber yard. In 1990, Brian's vision began to deteriorate, resulting in him no longer being able to enjoy doing some of the things he loved.  Brian found new hobbies to enjoy, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Even after experiencing more health issues, he was always ready to travel or help others whenever he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Brian is survived by his wife, Julie; brothers, Bruce and Brent (Patty); sister, Denise (Tom) Kimm; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at a later date.
