Betty Jean Schneiter

May 24, 1928 — January 3, 2017

Betty Jean Schneiter, 88 of Belgrade, MT passed away suddenly on January 3rd, 2017. Betty was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 24th, 1928 to parents Pat and Margaret Nichols. Betty and her brothers, Billy Ray and Don, were raised in Norris, MT where she successfully graduated from Harrison High School. Following high school, Betty met the love of her life, Walter Schneiter, and in 1946, the two were wed in Bozeman, MT. They spent their lives as ranchers in Central Park, owning and operating Schneiter’s Dairy. Together, Betty and Walter raised two beautiful children: Mark and Sandy.

Betty enjoyed cooking (particularly roast beef, bread, and pie cakes), canning, growing her flowers, and making delicious syrups and jams. She and Walter would travel to Hero’s Donuts in Belgrade everyday so they could sit and enjoy their special treat together. She was incredibly social and will be most remembered the time she spent with her loved ones and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Walter. She is survived by her daughter Sandy Olney of Central Park, MT; son Mark (Julie) Schneiter of Butte, MT; grandchildren Brendon, Amy, Michelle, and Scott; great-grandchildren Loran, Molly, and Emily.
