Betty Jean Pasha, 79, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Mountain View Care Center in Bozeman, MT. She was born June 6, 1932 in Livingston, MT to Harry and Catherine “Marie” (Scott) Stevens. At an early age, Betty and her family moved to Bozeman where she attended Gallatin High School. Betty Jean married Lloyd Richey. They had four children together and later divorced. Betty Jean married Don Pasha in November, 1976 in Bozeman on the Pasha Family Ranch. As a rancher’s wife, she was no stranger to hard work, she was constantly in motion. She had a work ethic that was hard to beat. Betty Jean was an exceptional seamstress, knitter, quilter and cook. Her children fondly remember her delicious cookies, cakes, breads and mouthwatering macaroni and cheese. Betty Jean loved country music and was a big fan of the local band Country Traditions. Betty Jean was preceded in death by her father Harry Stevens; former husband Lloyd Richey; and husband Don Pasha. She is survived by: her four children Ron (Martha) Richey of Shreveport, LA, Sherry (Roger) Hovis of Butte, MT, Eileen (Mark) Jaramillo of Helena, MT and Donna Butler of Bozeman, MT; sister Harriet DeWitte of Belgrade, MT; brother Dennis (Ruth) Stevens of Oak Harbor, WA; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice, c/o Bozeman Deaconess Foundation, 931 Highland Blvd., Ste. 3200, Bozeman, MT 59715. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, June 16 at Dahl Funeral Chapel followed by interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
