Barry Francis Wolfe

Barry Francis Wolfe, 64, of Bozeman, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born August 21, 1948 in Quakertown, PA. He graduated from Pennridge High School in Perkasie, PA. Barry earned a degree in Forestry from Penn State, Mont Alta Campus, following his graduation he served our country in the United States Army, serving in the Military Police in Florida and Alaska. During his career in forestry he worked at Allegheny National Forest, Sproul State Forest, and Tuscarora State Forest in PA. His Career in Pennsylvania State Parks included: Kooser, Greenwood Furnace and Prince Galitzin State Parks. After retirement from PA State Parks he worked as a location manager in Yellowstone National Park. Pennsylvania residences included: Perkasie, Warren, Renova, Blain, Summerset, Huntingdon, and Patton. Barry and his wife Kathleen moved to MT after retirement and resided in Belgrade, and Bozeman. Barry was a member of the Lion’s Club in Blain, PA, and was involved with train restoration in Perry County. His major focus was with parks and recreation. He enjoyed camping, RVing, travel, family, Railroads and WWII History. Barry will be remembered for his strong loved and dedication to his forestry and parks career, but most of all for his love of God, family and country. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis H. and Betty Wolfe. Survivors include his wife Kathleen Wolfe of Bozeman; daughter Jenny Wolfe of Yellowstone National Park, WY; Siblings Bruce Wolfe of Perkasie, PA, Brenda Phillips of Mohrsville, PA, and Kathy Anne Hendrickson of Downingtown, PA. Memorials may be made in Barry’s name to Speak My Word Ministries, (web address speakmyword.org), Speak My Word Ministries, P.O. Box 632, Hershey, PA 17033. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Tohickon Cemetery, Bucks County, PA.
