Ann Fitzpatrick Watkins

Ann Fitzpatrick Watkins, 88, of Middletown, NJ, passed away in Bozeman, MT Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Ann was the daughter of Leo and Annabelle Fitzpatrick and loving wife of Walter Watkins (deceased). She passed away at High Gate Senior Living after a short illness. Ann was born on July 22, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. She lived in Chatham, NJ before moving to Red Bank, NJ and graduating from Red Bank High School in 1948. She was married to her husband, Walter for 55 years and raised her family in Tinton Falls, NJ. Ann was predeceased by her brother, Brian Fitzpatrick and is survived by her brother, Guy (Joanne) Fitzpatrick. She was a devoted and loving mother to her three sons, Paul (Ellie) Watkins of Dove Canyon, CA, Jack (Penelope) Watkins of Bozeman, MT and Mark (Robin) Watkins of Tinton Falls, NJ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Melissa, Nonie, Molly, Kelsey and Eric Watkins. Ann worked as an insurance and real estate secretary until her retirement in 1998. She had a great love of playing Bridge with her friends, summers at the beach and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services to celebrate her life will be held from 11:00 am Monday, June 23, 2014 until the time of her service at 12:30 pm at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 415 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ.
