Alvin Gorr

Alvin Gorr, 85, of Bozeman passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009. Alvin was born on October 17, 1923 in Rapelje, Montana to Theodore and Emma Gorr. He grew up in Montana. He served in the Air Force, worked for the Highway Department, did carpentry, and worked on ranches. Alvin met the love of his life, Beatrice McComb, and the two were married in California. He enjoyed ranching and working with horses. Above all else, Alvin loved his family. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Emma Gorr; brother Fred Gorr; and sisters, Frieda Koeneman and Elsie Palazzola. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; children, Pam (Ken) Sarrazin, and Teri (Mike Aubrey) Bliler, all of Bozeman; grandchildren, Mike (Kelly) Kenison of Douglas, WY, Angela (Arnie Allen) Erskine of Great Falls, MT, Shane (Suzie) Bliler of Great Falls, Mike (Cindy) Bliler of Great Falls, Kristen Sarrazin of Portland, OR, and Cody Sarrazin of Bozeman; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Hollie Kenison of Douglas, WY, and Isaac Bliler of Great Falls, MT; sisters Valentine Zindler of Rapelje and Thelma Lewis of Longview, TX; brother Raymond (Kathy) Gorr of Damaseus, OR; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Burmeister of Big Timber, and Doris (Bill) Fickbohm of Centerville, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
