Adam Michael Evans, 31, of Bozeman, passed away with his family at his side on Friday June 10, 2016 at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born November 2, 1984 in Bozeman, Montana the eldest son to Kristine Shackleford and Max Evans.
Adam was raised and educated in Bozeman, attending Hawthorne and Emily Dickenson Elementary Schools, Sacajawea Middle School and Bozeman High School. Throughout his high school years, Adam excelled in football and track, particularly the long distance events. Following his graduation from high school, he served a two year mission in Tucson, AZ. He then worked seven years for Keegan Custom Homes, before attending Montana State University. While in school he also spent summers in Bakersfield, CA working for Dewey Pest Control. He earned a Masters degree in accounting from MSU in 2014. He was most recently working as a purchasing coordinator for Earth Elements, which offers high end home finishes.
Adam was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; he was a youth Sunday school teacher. He coached midget football with the Lions Club for 5 years. He enjoyed 3-D Archery shooting.
For Adam, his family was the center of his world. Together they did cross fit, spent time at their lake cabin, hunted for elk and deer, had intense workouts in the garage and spent many evenings watching movies together. He had a passion for his favorite movies and his grandmothers chocolate chip cookies.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Delone Evans
Survivors include his mother Kristine Shackleford of Belgrade, MT, his father Max Evans of Bozeman, MT; two brothers Alex (Bronwyn) Evans, Abram (Jaclyn) Evans; sister Ashley (Tracy) Senenfelder all of Belgrade; nieces and nephews Lincoln, Marlee, Olivia, Jax, Gary and latest arrival Wyatt with another to follow in October; paternal grandfather McRay (LaVee) Evans of Bozeman, MT; maternal grandparents Raymond and Laura Shackleford of Bozeman, MT. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Adams life will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, June 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Stake Center, 2915 Colter Ave, Bozeman, MT. Adam was adamant about this being a joyful celebration of his life. Please do not wear black, and instead wear bright colors. Be ready to share a happy memory during the reception.
