Have been trying to find Eric, on and off, for some years. Sad to hear of his passing. Eric was my roommate and good friend during his time in the army stationed at Camp Darby Italy.

I am so sorry to hear that Eric has lost his hard-fought battle. It was a pleasure knowing him - a truly gentle and caring man with an entertaining personality on the side.

To Deborah Hilde, wife of Eric Hilde. Deb, It is such a shame that we knew Eric only in his last days of severe illness. We heard so much about him in his healthy life that we wish we had known him. We saw the end of his life with his dignity and your love for him. We were privileged to have been part of those days. We send our compassion and love to you with whom he will always be. Yours, Brownie Schoene and Kim Marquis

Deb & Family - My heart aches for you and I share your loss. I wish you strength during this most difficult time. May you find comfort in the good memories you built together, knowing he is no longer suffering in this life. Know, too, that you will meet again . . . May the passage of time bring healing and eventual peace. Eric will be missed, but never forgotten. Learn to laugh again - it is what he would want for you. with love, Margaret

Eric, as a good friend in high school,I enjoyed breaking every speed law in Washingon with your Superbee and Nova. You were, and always will be my friend. I have missed you over the years, and now regret never making the trip to Belgrade to visit. Describing you to my wife and kids has brought up many great old memories. Two of my closest friends, you and Tessem, and now you are both gone. What gives Eric? I will miss you forever my good friend. Take care and Please rest in peace. Your forever friend, Glenn Maloy
